Very low key place in Soho. Great prices considering where it's located. Not updated inside but the food, coffee and service is great. We stayed in SoHo for 5 days and came here 3-4 times. One night we were too tired to go out to dinner and walked down the street and had risotto which was great and only like £9! The portion was so big I couldn't finish it. The guys who run it are Italian (I think) and very friendly. A lot of locals hang out here.

Prior to my London trip, I had been Yelping places to get a full English breakfast. Bar Bruno came up with great reviews, and only one pound sign, so my friends and I decided to trek on over on a Monday morning.

The place is small, with a few tables. It looked more like a deli-type place than it did a restaurant. Plus, it seemed like the majority of the people were getting all of their orders to go. We sat and ordered, and our food came out pretty quickly, probably about 10 minutes later. I had the full English brekkie, which comes with sausage, bacon, blood sausage, two eggs, beans, mushrooms, a hash brown, toast and bubble & squeak (some type of mushed up vegetables with peas in it - NOT GOOD).

The taste of the food itself wasn't bad. It's what you would typically expect of brunch food. However, everything was over oily. It's like they fried everything in butter, which was really excessive. I was probably only able to eat about a third of my plate before I started feeling queasy from all of the grease. Maybe this is how all English brekkies are? I don't know, since this was my first one. But I have had a full Irish breakfast before, which is pretty similar, and I don't remember that one being that greasy.

I'm sure you can find a better English breakfast elsewhere. But if you must come here, I would definitely suggest sharing one plate with one or two other people.

Great casual neighborhood spot for a full English breakfast. I got the BB breakfast (£8) - it was tasty and i was completely stuffed halfway through it. The buttered toast that came with it was so delicious! Very unexpected, given that it just looked like regular toasted sliced white bread.

The menu is small and straightforward (no-frills and affordable), with a focus on their most popular items, the BB and BBB breakfasts: full English breakfasts that come with eggs, canadian bacon, a hash brown patty, bubble, and beans. (The BBB option is bigger, with some extra items like black pudding and mushrooms.)

Everything was simple, yet well-made, and the service was great! I hadn't had Canadian bacon before and really liked it. It tasted like if ham and American bacon had a lovechild, minus the fatty strips. It went very well with my over easy eggs and hash brown. Wasn't as much of a fan of the sausage and bubble (some sort of dumpling). But all in all, great place for some affordable comfort brunch food in London!

Amazing greasy spoon! Huge breakfasts for small prices, good coffe and an overall neighbourhood feel to the whole thing.

It's relatively small and seems crammed, but it's absolutely worth it. It does get super busy too, which just shows how awesome this place is.

Good food, not so great service.

We went here for dinner because it was recommended by someone in the hostel we stayed at. We're not sure if it was because we we American but service from the get-go wasn't stellar. We got looks when we first came in from the staff when we wanted to get a table.

For our starter we wanted to try the jacket potato because we never had it. The server taking the order (who was also the cook) told us the jacket potato is really filling and is basically a meal so we decided to share it instead because we wanted to try other things from the menu. After it came out, we devoured the Chili Con Carne that came with extra cheese on top.

Here's where it goes downhill. After we ate the jacket potato (~£5), we were trying to get any of the staff members notice that we were done. Our plates were cleaned out but none of them came over to grab it and ask us for anything. We made eye contact with them MANY times but they never seemed to acknowledge us. By the time we got their attention our hunger disappeared but we still wanted to get what we intended on getting for ourselves. Note that for us to get their attention, we had to go up to them roughly 10-15 minutes after finishing the jacket potato.

Wanting to try food from the country, I got the Steak and Kidney pie with chips and gravy with a couple of mixed vegetables (£7). I'm not sure if the pie crust is supposed to be hard but it was and it was not easy to cut through. The steak and kidney tasted nice. Veggies were cooked nice, but the service just made it not as enjoyable. However the fries were amazing. We barely dug into our dinner and got boxes to go.

They have many specials posted all around their restaurant that I would go back to try. If it weren't for their lack of attention for service, this would've gotten at least 4 stars.
